The Junior Analyst is a data-driven, detail-oriented role that will provide support to Finance, Accounting, Sales, Marketing, and Operations. This position is responsible for understanding, developing, monitoring, and reporting KPIs and other metrics . The job requires modeling and data visualization, so expect to spend a lot of time using Excel, Orchestrated Beer (SAP Business One – ERP), and other Database tools. The role also requires great communication skills to share your analyses. The Jr. Analyst will have to thrive in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, endlessly changing environment.

Essential functions:

  • Provide financial analysis and support to Finance team to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze sales data including but not limited to competitor pricing, sales to retail by market, and sales to wholesale by market. Work with VP Sales to quantify effectiveness of sales representatives in each territory with the goal of creating measures to hold sales representatives accountable, and structuring compensation based on their success.
  • Provide guidance, support, and analytics to various departments to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and / or maintain KPI reports and benchmarking data. Develop special ad hoc analysis and reports as requested by supervisor.
  • Prepare and present information as necessary to key stakeholders across the company, and provide monthly project tracking of performance.
  • Design and maintain action-oriented reports and dashboards that permit data-driven insights and better business results.
  • Assemble spreadsheets and create charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports that demonstrate financial history, trends, and forecasts.
  • Forecast, model, and report using industry specific database tools, such as Vermont Information Processing (VIP), Karma Notes, Armadillo and IR.
  • Work with third party vendors to manage and maintain accuracy of industry specific database tools used.
  • Generate commission reports and send to HR, VP of Sales, and Regional Sales Managers.
  • Act as Pricing Manager, in this capacity, develop and maintain pricing for Uinta, including price lists, post offs, adjustments and price changes in the market.
  • Develop and maintain Point of Sale tracking files to insure proper quarterly spend by wholesaler.
  • Interface with Sales Execution Coordinator and VP of sales to ensure alignment of wholesalers and Area Sales Managers with execution of plan.
  • Work with Finance to create the annual sales budget and coordinate finalization with the VP of Sales and other key stakeholders.
  • Respond to data requests.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all sales numbers, quotas, compensation, etc.
  • Identify and diagnose data quality issues, initiate continual process improvement efforts, enhance timeliness and accuracy of information, and improve reporting applications.
  • Establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to provide decision support.
  • Collaborate with business partners to deliver accurate and timely results, including relevant variance explanations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, , Mathematics, Statistics, , or related field of study or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience in data analysis, business analytics, data modeling, or statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency in performing hands-on analysis using at least one of the following:

o Excel, SQL or other data analysis / data visualization tool

o Working knowledge of Orchestrated Beer (or equivalent SAP Business One ERP) a plus

o Working knowledge of industry specific tools a plus (e.g. VIP, IRI, Karma Notes)

  • Practical knowledge of advanced Excel functions (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, sumifs and other database functions).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on experience working with large datasets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven teamwork skills with the ability to handle a diverse workload with tight time frame requirements and competing resources.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to drive results, working on a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in a craft brewery, manufacturing environment, or high-growth environment.
  • Experience creating and documenting processes.
