Mid-level full-stack Web Developer at Geospatial consulting firm

Integral GIS is looking to add a talented mid-level full stack Developer to our Seattle based team. We are seeking someone who keeps up with current and emerging technologies, someone who reads and learns new things on their own even if they don’t use it on the job. In other words, someone who is curious. We use geospatial processes & methodologies to create map centered programs, helping business solve problems in a creative way. We are an Agile shop with tight schedules and a quick ramp-up.

Ideal candidates will have experience in all phases of Custom Application Development including; requirements analysis, application design, code development, testing, and support.

Because we work closely with each of our clients, every employee is an ambassador of Integral GIS. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must. You must also be comfortable facilitating client interactions via email, telephone, and in-person meetings both in and out of the office.

Responsibilities

+ Actively participate as a member of a small Development team with overall responsibility for development, deployment, and maintenance of desktop and web-based applications, using the latest technologies

+ Actively contribute to requirements analysis, system architecture, application design sessions, as well as code development efforts

+ Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, with a proven ability to meet deadlines

+ Create technical solutions according to UI specifications and client-specific environment

+ Develop project task and schedule estimates in a phased release or agile environment

+ Design underlying application database, table(s) and relationship(s) structures needed to support a complex enterprise Geospatial application

+ Code, test and troubleshoot application features

+ Prepare final product for migration and deployment

+ Quickly learn new technologies to support new projects and services

+ Participate in client meetings as needed

+ Travel, as needed, to work or meet on-site with clients. Some travel may include overnight stays

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Bootcamp certificate from an accredited organization

+ 2+ years of Structured Development in JavaScript, HTML5 & CSS

+ Experience working with AJAX, React.js, and Redux.js

+ Strong knowledge of Web Services: REST

+ Experience with SQL database design, stored, procedures, triggers, views, and functions

+ Strong ability to work as a member of an agile development team with established Software

Development guidelines.

+ Demonstrated ability to identify and balance priorities, to work both independently and as part of the team as well as manage time efficiently

+ Willingness to share your knowledge to broaden the skills of the company and humbleness to learn from your peers

+ Ability and willingness to travel

Nice to have

+ Prior experience with Vue.js

+ experience with NoSQL

+ Knowledge of JSON, XML, and GraphQL

+ Prior consulting experience

+ Experience or strong interest in developing geographic applications

+ Strong business acumen

+ Experience in creating reporting/data warehousing environments

+ Cloud development experience

Location:

This position is based out of our Seattle, WA office. Remote employment is not available with this position. Candidates must currently live in the greater Seattle area or be willing to relocate.
