Summary:

The primary focus for this position is to provide functional and/or technical skills to solve business problems for datacenterHawk. The position requires the ability to gather requirements, design and build software, test and implement solutions meeting project objectives. The person will confirm and substantiate functional and technical designs, collaborate on class and sequence diagrams, perform peer code reviews, and review development efforts and concerns of team members.

The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating in a team-oriented environment, completing tasks in order to consistently meet deadlines and solve problems analytically. The candidate will be called upon to be a dependable team member and make independent decisions.

Key Functions:

· Design and build new features based on the business problem for the customer or stake holder conveyed by the Product Owner.

· Work with other developers to improve code quality through writing unit tests and performing code reviews.

· Able to work in a quick and fast pace environment.

· Great problem solving skills to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and implement effective technical solutions individually or in a team.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field of study.

· Minimum three (3) years of hands on experience with Java technologies.

· Knowledge of Java, Spring framework, JPA / Hibernate, HTML / CSS / JavaScript.

· Knowledge of Apache Web Server, Tomcat Application Server, SQL database.

· Knowledge of front end UI and responsive designs.

· Experience with Scrum/Agile.

· Experience in software design skills to produce designs that are scalable/extensible/reusable and meet architectural objectives.
