Jr. HR Generalist

PRIMARY FUNCTION

We are looking for a positive and energetic Jr. HR Generalist to perform a broad range of Human Resource duties in the areas of recruitment, benefits, compensation, compliance, employee relations, and events. This person must demonstrate and will be an integral part of the company HISDEL (Hard Work, Integrity, Solutions, Discipline, Education and Leadership) culture.

Essential Job Responsibilities :

  • Conduct recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt positions. This includes working with hiring managers to develop and implement appropriate recruiting and selection strategies.
  • Conduct onboarding and exiting of US employees
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Help to ensure compliance with federal, state, county, and city employment laws and regulations.
  • Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, monthly benefits billing and communicating benefits information to employees.
  • Process and track leave of absences (disability, worker’s compensation and FMLA)
  • Maintain HR and personnel records and compile reports from database; prepare HR related reports as requested.
  • Develop and maintain affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Conduct market and internal analysis and prepare compensation recommendations.
  • Coach in the areas of employee relations, performance management, discipline, career development, hiring etc.
  • Investigate employee complaints and assist in their resolution.
  • Complete special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience may be substituted
  • A minimum of 1 year Human Resources experience is required.
  • Past experience managing multiple projects with dynamic deadlines.
  • Solid background in employee relations
  • SAP experience preferred

  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to demonstrate clear, concise communication, good judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to facilitate interactions and resolve conflicts.
