Jr. Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record monthly journal entries and review general ledger for accuracy
• Create and issue financial reports for various stakeholders (e.g. sales and corporate) in accordance with specified deadlines
• Analyze and track monthly financial results, with an emphasis on explaining key drivers of variances versus budget and prior year
• Audit Advertisement and Promotions (A&P) Purchase Orders (PO) prior to disbursement of funds
• Train new employees on A&P PO creation and best practices
• Ad-hoc analyses and requests, as required

• 0-3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of US GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Must be dependable, a self-starter, quick learner, adaptable, team oriented and problem solver
