Overview

HGA is seeking a talented, design-oriented, ambitious design professional with lots of energy. This position will be part of our Minneapolis Healthcare design team. The position requires excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills as you will work closely with the Design Principal and Project Manager developing non-routine and complex design concepts in a manner responsive to the client’s needs and project schedule.

Responsibilities

Accepts specific assignments and develops concepts according to parameters defined by the senior architect overseeing project assignment

Manages related components/tasks of project so that all can be effectively executed, according to schedule and within budget

Interacts and communicates effectively and professionally with other team members

Assures execution of and assists with quality control activities for architectural elements on a project

Reviews drawings, documents and submittals for document compliance and documenting code review and compliance

Keeps Design Principal, lead architect and/or designated team leader informed of progress; recognizes problem issues, communicates impact to team, and seeks clarity when necessary

Maintains, organizes and archives all project related documents

Makes an on-going effort to obtain IDP credits so that architectural registration will be achieved

Qualifications

Bachelor of Architecture degree; Masters of Architecture degree preferred
5 years minimum experience
Interest in working on projects of varying scales and types in a very collaborative environment
Proficiency in both Revit and AutoCAD
Strong 2D and 3D graphics skills
Strong working knowledge of computational design applications a plus
