Java Software Developer

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years Java experience expected with the proficiency and knowledge skills listed below
• Experience programming in Java in a team-oriented environment
• Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming design and development
• Must have SQL working knowledge
• Proficient with software version controll system (such as Git)
• Excellent communication, documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to set/achieve short term goals in a long term project
• Ability to plan, design and code on modular basis in team coordinated environment
• Motivation to produce results in a time-sensitive environment
• Ability to follow established software coding and documentation procedures
• Flexibility to collaborate with others or work alone on projects, as needed
• Strong interest in learning new technologies
• Strong organizational skills

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with Databases – PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Experience using Maven
• Experience with Unit testing
• Experience with software development environment, such as Eclipse, Visual Studio Code
• Experience with issue tracking system, such as Mantis, Redmine
• Familiarity with Spring Framework
• Familiarity with RESTful web service
• Familiarity with PHP 5
• Familiarity with JavaScript
• Proficient or able to learn Bash
• Experienced in application development on Linux platforms
• Familiarity and/or ability to learn BACnet protocol, encoding and encryption
• Experience or desire for working in a team environment utilizing AGILE methodologies
