Java/Python Programmer

Description:

A family office financial firm in Newport Beach is looking to add a programmer to their team for the development of an algorithmic trading program. Responsibilities will include unit testing, utilizing cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform, and writing code primarily in Java or Python.

Requirements:

• 8/10 Python skill level
• 8/10 Java skill level
• Experience with REST APIs
• Well-versed with git
• Comfortable using the shell
• Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu)
• MongoDB experience
• Experience with optimization or mathematical algorithms

Bonus:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of quantitative analysis
• Familiarity of backtest frameworks such as backtrader
• Machine learning experience
• Experience with Jupyterhub

Education:

• Junior, senior, or recent college graduate with a degree in computer science or a related field.

Job Types: Full-time, Internship

Salary: $15.00 to $15.10 /hour
