Java Developer

Job Description: Strong JAVA Backend developer. o Strong in Spring Framework o UI is important – Angular JS o Strong in SQL. Any DB is fine. DB2 will be preferred o Flex is good to have.

This position is responsible for modifying existing application code or interfaces and building new application components from detailed requirements. This includes the analysis of requirements, support of the design, development of the code, and testing of programs and interfaces. * Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or information system management required * Experience in financial services or captive auto finance companies is a strong plus * Experience in scorecard/dashboard is a strong plus * Ability to integrate with large teams, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills * Application development experience in large scale enterprise environments is essential * Problem-solving skills and critical thinking are essential to effectively conduct the required tasks. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking * Self-motivated and able to work autonomously when necessaryIntermediate to expert knowledge required in the following areas: * System development lifecycle * System development processes and method * Testing methods, including unit and integration testing (JUnit, JMock) * Utilization of software configuration management tools * Code deployment and code versioning toolsExperience in the following: * JAVA, J2EE, EJB, JavaBeans, JavaScript ES6, Servlets, JDBC, Hibernate. * Spring Framework 4, Spring Boot 1.4, JDBC template, Spring REST * IBM RAD, Eclipse * HTML 5, CSS 3, Angular * Micro services architecture understanding * WebSphere, WSAD, MQ Series * DB2, strong SQL * FTP/SFTP * Big data is a strong plus * Adobe Flex is a plus * UNIX (AIX), UNIX Scripting is a plus * COBOL is a plus * Maven, Gradle is a plus
