Java Developer

Insignia Technology Services is seeking a Java Developer to assist with a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) T4NG (Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology Next Generation) Work Study Management System Application Project.

Full Time Position

Position Description:

Responsible for designing, coding and documenting complex applications for large-scale IT systems. The Candidate will perform technical tasks using both standard and nonstandard analysis, design, and programming methods and techniques. The Candidate helps to determine customer requirements for the final program or system. The Java Developer also will analyze problems in terms of factors such as requirements, input data and form, output data and form. The Candidate will assess and recommend methods of improving efficiency of existing programs and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for installation of Java Applications
• Responsible for creating WebLogic domain and server
• Responsible for the configuration of data sources for WSMS processes
• Responsible for FOCAS application deployment
• Responsible for running and configuring FOCAS applications

Requirements:

• 3+ years of Software Development experience, preferably Java
• Experience with JavaScript (CSS, HTML, Angular, jQuery)
• Experience with Drools Rule engine 4.0.7
• U.S Citizenship

Preferences:

• Honorably Discharged U.S Military Veteran
• Public Trust Security Clearance

Education:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology OR degree in closely related field.
