Location The preferred location for this position is Toronto or Ottawa however, we will consider remote applicants (work from home). All applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.

Why is this role important?

In order to provide essential information on Canada’s health systems we need to have information system solutions in place for acquisition, loading, extraction, transformation and dissemination of the data. As part of a project team you will improve our information systems and develop new features by utilizing Java, Javascript, JEE, SQL, ORACLE database and other related software and tools.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to the detail-level solution designs to include the identification of dependencies and deficiencies
• Develop solutions that meet all business, user and technological requirements, both functional and non-functional.
• Analyse and generate solutions to resolve software design and program deficiencies/problems in existing or new systems
• Perform the requisite unit, module, integration and performance testing. Identify, triage and resolve defects.

What you’ll bring to the table

• University Degree or equivalent education/experience in Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline.
• Experience as a full stack developer, developing technical solutions for a web based environment utilizing the below technologies
• Experience working in relational database environment

Technology Stack

• Java, Spring, SQL, REST, XML, HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, Maven, RDBMS (Oracle), JBOSS/Tomcat, Linux/Windows- Enterprise content management system (Drupal preferred)- Data visualization JS libraries (D3.js, Chart.js)
