Immediate opening for a Java Developer to join a development team located in Monterey, CA. Qualified candidates should have at least 4 years of Java development experience, including a solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle. The successful candidate will have a core competency in java and will be developing web applications that interact with Oracle databases. Candidate will be an integrated member of a team consisting of government and contractor staff, must be a team player able to work onsite with government customer.

Essential Job Functions

• Participate in creating detailed technical specifications using UML. Participates as integral part of design team, coordinates engineers and support staff in project efforts.
• Participates in implementation of software systems using java technologies.
• Performs testing and research of software systems to enhance performance or investigate and resolve matters of significance.
• Monitors and oversees the completion and implementation of technical products to ensure success and timeliness.
• Recommends and implements corrections in highly complex technical applications and analysis to enhance performance.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 4+ years of Java experience
• Experience developing web applications
• Experience with Angular-JS is desired
• Familiarity with open source Java frameworks, especially Spring, JSF, Struts
• Experience with JDeveloper, Eclipse, Maven, JUnit, Oracle
• Experience with Hibernate or myBatis or iBatis
• REST and/or SOAP
• No-SQL such as Mongo or CouchDB is a plus
