Java Developer

Overview:

DataStaff is currently seeking a Java Developer for a long term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Raleigh, NC.

The Client is seeking a senior java application developer to provide design, development, and testing support using Java, WebSphere on the windows platform.

Description

The primary purpose of the Java Web Application Developer resource is to work with members of our development team and business team to provide application design and development support for existing and new web application module.

• Able to work without assistance; able to manage highly complex work efforts.
• Develop application specifications and test cases.
• Develop web applications using program specifications or user requests.
• Debug and diagnose coding errors and performance issues.

Required Skills

• 7 years – Java programming using JEE/Spring framework, eclipse/Rational Application Developer
• 5 years – Web services standards SOAP, UDDI and WSDL
• 7 years – Writing SQL scripts for database queries; Knowledge of data access object (DAO), Hibernate
• 5 years – Experience with report system (like BIRT or Jasper)
• 4 years – Experience with Database platforms such as DB2
• 3 years – Experience with JEE supported application server like IBM WebSphere
• 5 years – JSP, JQuery
• 7 years – HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML
• 5 years – Experience with structured system development methodologies, preferably waterfall method

Highly Desired Skills

• 3 years – Experience with .Net
• Candidates local to the Raleigh / Triangle Area

This position is available on a corp-to-corp basis or as a W2 position with a competitive benefits package.
