IT Technician – Kettering Ohio

Primary Responsibilities include:
Summary:
Provide end-user hardware and software support with a customer service focus as well as basic server administration support. Support also includes workgroup printers, laser printers, mobile computers, laptop and desktop hardware and their peripherals and thin client devices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
1. Provide support to end-users as requested or required via email, phone, help desk system or in person.

2. Hardware lifecycle management from scoping to recycling for IT hardware for all locations.

3. Maintain Office 365 and Active Directory Users and Computers to assign licenses and permissions for new, existing and terminated users.

4. End-user training for new systems, applications and processes as part of the project implementation lifecycle and as needed as services change.

5. Work with Manager of IT to define short and long term projects to increase efficiency and delivery of IT services to the entire organization.

6. Maintain and foster a customer-centric environment in all interactions with the business.

7. Provide basic troubleshooting for all types of technology including, but not limited to: network and USB printing, software applications for Microsoft Windows, hardware component failures, basic layer 2 and layer 3 networking, Apple IOS and Android platforms, and Windows Mobile operating systems.

8. Requires travel to Troy Ohio and Tennessee locations.

Education Requirement:
All candidates must have an Associates or Bachelors degree in the computer field and at least 1 year experience in a help desk environment that includes basic server management or equivalent training and/or certification.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee regularly lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds, frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds, and occasionally pushes/pulls up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color perception, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
