Job Function

Maintain on-hand spare critical computer components and in coordination with the organizational manager, install or replace common personal computer and laptop systems for items that are out of warranty. This includes configuring, testing, deploying and recommending changes to these systems. Configuring the systems to operate on AFNET and only use OEM replacement parts when available.

Support multi-function print/copy/scan/facsimile devices by changing toner and installing fusers and maintenance kits.

Call equipment in for warranty repair.

Manage the configuration, checking in and out of unit laptops to employees as required to support travel requirements.

Assist the facility manager with planning and executing communications and information system requirements resulting from building renovation, furniture upgrades and personnel relocations.

Respond to user’s Remedy Electronic IT Service Management (EITSM) problem calls by identifing and implementing remedies to problems and enter tickets as required.

Assist customers with In/Out-Processing

Perform the following regarding telephone support; enter voicemail resets and telephone equipment problems into Phone Flight website and assist with the scheduling and tracking of work requests with the 88th Communications Group (88CG).

Attend meetings as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.

Prepare written materials (e.g. reports, memos, letters, inventory, policies, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.

File official records pertaining to the job functions in the Electronic Records Management (ERM) or as hard copies into the file cabinets.

Required Skills

Thorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and Windows 10

Ability to pick up and understand a new task quickly

Education

Associate’s degree from an accredited college/university or formal “industry” accreditation (A+, Network+, Security+, and MCSE).

Four (4) years of progressive Information Technology (IT) experience including at least two (2) years in technically related areas.

Must have current Secret clearance
