  • What you’ll own:

  • Building, designing, deploying, maintaining, and leading the implementation of Cloud solutions across multiple public cloud offerings, e.g. AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure

  • Participating in technology evaluation and reengineering teams to support strategy-definition and continuous process improvement activities

  • Helping implement the technology direction, vision, and strategy to enable Cloud technology adoption

  • Implementing and refining cloud future state architectures and roadmaps including architecture standards, guidelines, and industry best practices

  • Acting as project lead around further software defined services and offerings

  • Developing, enhancing, and maintaining automation of cloud enablement tools and system automations

  • Assessing urgency of issues and facilitate follow-up and resolution accordingly including service quality initiatives to support a “five nines” product availability environment

  • Performing ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configuring CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required; maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment

  • Participating in the design, implementation, and management of workload automation initiatives

  • Adhering to firm change management, problem management policies and familiarity with ITIL or other formalized IT operations foundations

  • Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines

  • Managing, monitoring, and maintaining existing IT hardware and software systems both on-premise and in the cloud

  • Installing, configuring, and designing various OS, applications, software, systems, and cloud solutions to meet best practices and business requirements

  • Overseeing and supporting user account management processes

  • Interacting with vendors to evaluate and recommend new solutions

  • Maintaining system availability and support business continuity

  • Effective collaborating with other IT and business professionals

  • Implementing and conforming to Information Security Best practices

  • Maintaining of security, backups, and disaster recovery strategies

  • Participating in a rotating on-call schedule

  • Must have the temperament and ability to work in high-pressure, time sensitive situations during emergencies

  • Experience you’ll need:

  • Expert level proficiency with managing Linux (Ubuntu, RedHat, CentOS and Oracle Linux) servers

  • Advanced skills, mastery and proven production experience with AWS including, but not limited to ECS, Lambda, ELB/ALB, networking and CloudFront

  • Advanced cloud experience, preferably AWS and Azure

  • Extensive hands on experience managing Active Directory, Azure AD and SSO

  • Experience with virtualization technology – VMware vSphere

  • Database experience including Oracle, PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server

  • Advanced Networking knowledge – TCP/IP, Firewall, switching, Load Balancing, DNS, DHCP

  • Experience working with enterprise storage systems – fiber channel, Pure Storage, Netapp, HPE Nimble

  • Familiarity of Infrastructure and application monitoring tools New Relic or similar is a plus

  • Significant Experience with Automation tools – Salt Stack, Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure ARM

  • Knowledge of backup software and data retention policies

  • Experience managing server and data center hardware – Dell, HPE, Cisco, APC

  • Experience with messaging platforms including Kafka, RabbitMQ, MSMQ and AWS SQS

  • Experience with load balancers including F5, AWS NLB and AWS ALB

  • Experience with Content Delivery networks. Specific experience with Verizon EdgeCast and CloudFront is a plus

  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills on full stack environments from Network and System to Customer Browser

  • Experience debugging and writing build automation in BitBucket pipelines, Jenkins, AWS Code Build/Deploy and Azure DevOps

  • Proven scripting skills- Bash, Advanced Python, PowerShell, etc.

  • Ability to debug and troubleshoot C#, Java and Kotlin applications including making code modifications when necessary

  • Proven ability to work with containerization platforms – Docker Enterprise, Docker Swarm, AWS ECS and Kubernetes/EKS

  • Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues including routing and firewall policies Experience with Palo Alto Network firewalls, AWS Transit Gateways and AWS Direct Connect is a plus
