IT Systems Administrator

VTM Group seeks a Systems Administrator to join our Corporate Information Technology (CIT) group.

Job Responsibilities:
The Systems Administrator will report directly to the Manager of IT. This position is responsible for ongoing support of VTM’s servers, storage, and computing environment while also providing white glove service to internal and external customers.

Duties Include but are not limited to:
Maintaining VTM’s computing infrastructure and all related information systems across multiple sites

On Premise and cloud Active Directory Domain Services management

E-mail system management

Administering the management, deployment, and maintenance of end user software

Supporting internal engineering and web development team’s IT related needs

Providing support and management of VTM external customer IT related projects, products, and services

Keep robust technical documentation up to date

Enforce and defend IT related security policies and practices

Shared help desk coverage responsibilities

Shared scheduled-on call responsibilities possible

Job Requirements:
Three years of systems administration experience within a Windows Domain environment. Strong familiarity with Active Directory Domain Services is an absolute must

Three years of systems administration experience within a ESXi type-1 hypervisor environment. Hyper-V experience is a plus but not required

Two years administering Microsoft Exchange is an absolute must

Strong understanding of the intricacies of DNS and E-mail

Experience working with data storage appliances

Experience working with hypervisor backup software

Linux experience preferred

VOIP PBX system management a plus.

Must be competent in computer system networking equipment

Familiarity with scripting or web development languages a plus

Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical staff.

Ability to multi-task and withstand regular and repeated interruptions

Must be able to work closely within a team

Must be flexible for travel, working weekends and extended workdays, if required

Provide beyond excellent customer service
