In this role you will provide crucial front line support to credit union team members by investigating and resolving their technology related requests.

What else you’ll be doing in this role:
Receive telephone calls, emails, and service requests from team members having problems using computer software and hardware or inquiring how to use specific software such as MS Excel, MS Office, MS Word, Outlook, and operating systems

Collaborate with IT team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues

Support all branches and locations in Ann Arbor, Dearborn, Ypsilanti and Flint areas

Enters requests for support into departmental database for proper tracking and resolution

Maintains departmental inventory database with up to date information related to hardware deployment throughout the credit union

Assists team members through diagnostic procedures to resolve systems related issues

Determines cause of problems for systems, software, printers, cables, communications, telephone, etc.

Works with programmers to explain software errors or to recommend changes to programs

Calls software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products

Makes purchasing recommendations as well as researching cost effective solutions

Assists in departmental testing of software and hardware, evaluating ease of use and product performance

Coordinates Microsoft updates and software deployments using Microsoft System Center Essentials

Writes or revises user guides and procedures for using various systems/software/processes

Installs personal computers, software, and peripheral equipment

What you’ll need for this role:
High School diploma, secondary degree desirable

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in support role within the Information Technology industry Knowledge of data processing concepts, personal computers, and operating systems, MS Office suite, Windows Operating System, CISCO experience a plus, Browser based HTML knowledge and Linux/Unix language experience would be a positive

Accuracy, structured analysis and organization of data, are required

Must be a team player and possess a high energy “can do” and supportive attitude

Must have reliable transportation when any problems cannot be fixed remotely

A+ Certification recommended
