IT Support Technician

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY :

Elevate your career as the IT Technician for the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass. You will perform general and varied tasks on computer workstations, servers, specialized kiosks, phones and related equipment. Necessary for this position is the ability to work independently and be highly motivated with excellent customer service skills. Typical work week will be Monday thru Friday with exceptions. During the summer months weekend hours scheduling will be implemented.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Backup for IT Manager and Network Administrator
• Assist and troubleshoot problems with POS, various kiosks, photography and interactive touch screen systems
• Troubleshoot computer workstation and network problems
• Assist with telephone system repairs, moves and fixes
• Perform swaps, maintenance, programming on in house and Sprint/Nextel phones
• Resolve help desk calls quickly and efficiently or escalate as needed

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Organize equipment and storage areas
• Use company van as needed to make pickups and deliveries
• Document procedures and processes when necessary
• Ability to closely follow written and verbal instructions

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :

• 3+ years of hands on working experience with computer hardware and peripherals in a corporate environment
• Preferred minimum of an Associate’s Degree or comparable work experience
• Strong communications and organizational skills and attention to detail and able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Exceptional proficiency to prioritize multiple tasks and handle last-minute changes
• Intermediate proficiency of TCP/IP networks in a Microsoft Windows environment
• Proven capacity to anticipate and solve hardware, software and network problems
• Thorough follow up on all directives
• Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Office 2007, 2010, 2013 and Microsoft Windows XP, 7 and 8
• Be able to effectively communicate simple to complex solutions to users of all skill levels
• Candidate must demonstrate excellent internal service and interpersonal skills
• Candidate must possess a valid driver license, current auto insurance and have a good driving record
