IT Support Technician

This position is responsible for assisting YMCA staff in effective usage of technology systems. Please submit your resumes with a cover letter.

Associates degree in a technology-related field or in pursuit of degree in Information Technology.

Two or more years of experience in technology support is preferred.

CompTIA A+ certification is preferred.

Must have good interpersonal, public relations, and communication skills via telephone and in writing.

Ability to effectively communicate information on YMCA systems to users of all ability levels.

Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES

1. Provide IT support both remotely and onsite at any of the branch locations

2. Monitor support requests and respond effectively in a timely manner

3. Works through problems in a systematic manner, updating internal documentation as needed

4. Manage PC setup and deployment using standard hardware and software

5. Modify configurations, utilities, software settings, etc. for all computer hardware

6. Create and assign users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory and Exchange

7. Escalate issues as needed to senior IT staff

8. Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses

9. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies

This position ensures that timely and effective technology support is provided to YMCA staff on an ongoing basis.
