IT Specialist

Bridges MN is hiring for an IT Specialist to provide technical assistance to end users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems person, or via telephone or electronically. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, networking, printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, phones and operating systems.

Key Result Areas:

• Respond to all move/add/change requests in a timely basis
• Complete larger planned initiatives in a timely basis (these will be quarterly goals for the IT department)

Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential Functions)

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain and repair hardware and/or software, (including support via Remote Desktop)
• Provide customer service support and end-user training via phone and the internet.
• Coordinate contractors and equipment or resource allocation.
• Manage and maintain the computer network.
• Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software. Use of imaging software.
• Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software.
• Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
• Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.

Required Skills and Experience(Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge skills and abilities).

• Vocational school, associate’s degree, or related on the job experience.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Additional Skills and Experience(Preferred or helpful)

• Basic networking experience
• Experience with PBX systems
• Experience with google drive preferred.
