IT Solution Architect – Supply Chain Job

As a Solution Architect in the IT Supply Chain Solutions team, you are responsible for supporting the planning and execution systems that power a multi-billion dollar semiconductor supply chain. You will be required to take on an “internal consulting” position tasked with exploring new ways to improve Micron’s end to end supply chain by leveraging technology and process innovations. The position is out in front tackling the latest and greatest business challenges and framing solution options and leading/partnering with the IT teams for actual implementation. You will define best practices for your area of focus, including baseline metrics, to-be goals, and recommending process improvements. The ideal candidate has a passion for translating business need into system capability while providing the vision to see solutions through to delivery.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as internal consultant within Supply Chain business teams and partner organizations on SAP APO (DP/SNP/gATP) capabilities and best practices
• Partner with Supply Chain leadership to help them understand system capabilities and to improve overall efficiency
• Ultimately responsible for ensuring effective delivery of supply chain solutions within SAP APO suites (DP/SNP/gATP)
• Ability to work within teams to deliver large scale, high-value projects by leveraging an established delivery methodology
• Provide expert architectural, functional and process guidance on system capabilities and solution approaches
• Work within cross-functional teams (Operations areas, IT, PMO) to drive successful deployments
• Leverage metrics and performance data to understand opportunities for improvement.

Professional Experience Required:

• 5+ years of Supply Chain program implementation experience
• 5+ years SAP APO (DP/SNP/gATP) systems experience

Professional Experience Preferred:

• Experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
• Experience as a key team member on at least one full implementation cycle
• Experience in Agile Solution Delivery mythology

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Expert technical understanding of SAP APO
• Deep supply chain and best known method knowledge
• Strong systems thinking and problem solving capability
• Self-motivated and outcome oriented
• APICS certification is a plus
• SCRUM/AGILE certification is a plus

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business, Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or industry-related curriculum
• Graduate studies a plus
