IT Software Engineer

Position Purpose:
ProvideInformation Management/Information Technology support to AMWTP Engineering groupfor software applications and hardware. The Engineering support includes Unix machine administration for Sun andother hardware platforms deployed at the AMWTP, Java, TCL, open-sourcescripting, web-based programming skills, working under software configurationcontrols and ASME NQA-1 standards. Assure the development of all assignments inan expeditious and accurate manner as requested. Provide implementation of softwaremodification requests using a wide variety of platforms. Address customer needs in a professionalmanner. Perform software testing inaccordance with AMWTP QA standards. Assist customers with User Acceptance Testing of applications. Report progress as requested bymanagement. As part of normal jobduties, employees may be required to be “on-call” to be able topromptly respond to and address user/customer needs.

Minimum Qualification Requirements(Education/Experience):
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, orsimilar degree, or 10 years of related experience

Experience with Database Systems required

Knowledge and experience of Solaris and Linux, Shell Scripts, Backups, RAID,Networking

Knowledge and experience of Java, Oracle/SQL, HACluster software, VBScript, JavaScript, Serial communications desired

Knowledge and experience of TCL, QNX, AssaySystems, Barcode readers, PLCs desired
