The State Bureau of Procurement (SBOP) manages statewide contracts for goods and services commonly used by agencies and UW campuses that create savings and improve efficiencies for the enterprise. We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Supervisor position in the Enterprise IT Sourcing Section. The Enterprise IT Sourcing Section develops statewide and agency specific contracts for IT service, telecommunications, IT related commodities and equipment in the areas of hardware, software and printing.

Position Summary:

This position supervises and provides direction for the State Bureau of Procurement’s (SBOP) Enterprise Information Technology (IT) Sourcing Section. Responsibilities include recommending and development of purchasing policy, procedures and guidelines to ensure value, consistency, and statewide coordination; program planning, evaluation, and implementation; and modification of policies as needed. Serve as bureau liaison to state agencies, university campuses, providing advice and support; and the vendor community, conducting outreach programs. Assist with the bureau’s internal purchasing training. The position supervises purchasing activities for all state agencies and university campuses for commodities and services in accordance with statutes and administrative code and recommends policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure cost effective, consistent and coordinated procurements. Qualifications:

Qualified applicants will have experience in personnel supervision and management, contract management (e.g. develop, maintain, interpret, renew, amend or similar), and procurement/sourcing/supply chain management.

In addition, well-qualified applicants will have experience developing/administering procurement & acquisition policies and procedures and procurement market analysis (e.g. performance, trends, forecasting, or similar).

Starting salary for the Procurement Supervisor will be $26.29 – $38.38 per hour, plus excellent benefits. This classification is assigned to pay schedule/range 81-02. In addition, a $4.00 per hour add-on may be available for this classification.
