IT Ninja / Field Technician

What you’ll be doing

Atomic Infotech is a software development and consulting company. Our managed IT business has been growing, and we’re looking for some great new teammates.

We’re looking for great technical candidates, but our number one priority is finding IT Ninjas that are positive, gracious, friendly, patient, and have great communication skills. We work with computers but also the people that use them. We’re a little different than most “IT Guys”, and we hope you are too!

You’ll be supporting servers, desktops, and users of all kinds. We try hard to solve root cause problems, and maximize our capability to remotely administer systems, but there is no substitution for having boots on the ground. The position will require regularly require travel in the greater Seattle area, and may require being on-call.

Where you’ll be doing it

Our office is in Issaquah, WA. Some travel is required.

Mixed environment of Windows, Macintosh computers and Androids and iPhones

Which firewalls/security appliances would you use? How would you ensure users can access all resources, even on the road or at the remote offices? What wireless access points would you use? How would you provide email? What would you use for anti-virus and malware protection? What tools would you use to support and remotely control servers and applications? Would you virtualize the servers? What would you use? How would you backup the servers and desktops? How would you keep everything documented? What would keep you up at night (what would be your biggest worry)?
