Position Description:

As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing and managing the IT division; developing and implementing cost effective systems and efficient computer operations to meet current and future decision making requirements; maintaining in-house and hosted Windows-based networks and servers; assisting with configuration management and scripting; and providing company-wide direction in areas of policy and planning for IT and related functions.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:

Maintenance, support and implementation of a Windows based network including:

• Provides information processing, systems counseling, and guidance to management personnel throughout the company;
• Plans and controls division staffing, development, organization, hardware acquisitions, and facilities to ensure consistency with company strategic plan;
• Provides advanced troubleshooting skills to resolve technical problems;
• Planning, implementation, maintenance, and support of Windows based networks including: Windows Server 2012, Office 365, SQL Server 2014 & 2016, IIS6 & 7, and Microsoft Azure based Virtual Environment;
• Administration & maintenance of WorldView’s production Azure cloud environment;
• Planning, implementation, and maintenance of routers, switches, and disaster recovery; and
• Planning and maintenance of the telephone system.

Will include maintenance and implementation of Third Party Software applications including:

• Hyland OnBase Document Management Systems
• Kofax Ascent Capture systems

Leadership:

• Identifies best long-term direction for the Technology division by developing three year plans which detail business plans, cost projections, and annual operating budget;
• Provides advanced troubleshooting skills to resolve technical problems;
• Directs the design, research, development, and maintenance of systems, programs, and software to meet management and company’s information needs;
• Directs product implementations with well-defined processes and accountability while enforcing meeting deadlines;
• Establishes policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources;
• Manages the division’s annual budget and expenses within the company’s guidelines to contribute to cost-effective operation of the company;

• Selects, develops, coaches, and motivates qualified staff to effectively carry out division functions and provide for the continuity of managerial and specialized skills;
• Identifies and executes appropriate training; and
• Maintains knowledge of developments in the areas of systems, hardware, and software technology, as well as incorporates new developments into the future practices of the company.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience administering a Windows based network including IIS, SQLServer, User Management, Disaster Recovery, Monitoring, Maintenance and Documentation;
• 2 years of experience working with the Microsoft Azure platform including Azure Managed SQL;
• Advanced knowledge of SQL Server from the setup and maintenance side (advanced query writing skills not necessary);
• Experience supporting a highly available SQL Server Environment;
• 3-5 years of experience supporting systems in a 24X7, high availability environment;
• 1-3 years of experience working with virtual infrastructure;
• Solid understanding of core networking principals (TCP/IP, DNS, NAT);
• 5+ years of people management;
• Strong leadership skills with ability to achieve results including sound judgment and decisiveness;
• Solid strategic and analytical thinker;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with emphasis on attention to detail;
• The ability to stay abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance;
• The ability to work independently and follow tasks through to completion;
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; and
• Strong desire for personal development.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Familiarity with document management, storage, or scanning;
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365;
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure; and
• Microsoft Certified Professional certification, MCSE/MCSA.
