IT Generalist (Mac, Web & GSuite)

3 to 6 months, Possible Temp-to-Hire

Are you looking to add experience to your resume? We are growing, and with growth comes the need for new employees and systems. Our IT team is swamped with work and we are looking for a tech savvy person to step in and handle some of the workload.

The ideal candidate for this position is tech savvy, able to grasp software concepts quickly, and can take ownership of a task through completion.

Just some of the things you will be doing:

In a Mac environment, the Tech Support Generalist will or assist with:

• Setup, configure, and support computers and peripherals.
• Create new user accounts and assign proper permissions, groups, and roles.
• Troubleshoot hardware or software issues and provide solutions directly to user.
• Setup and configure Mac OS computers for new users.
• Provide hardware support on laptops, desktops, and printers.
• Troubleshoot to diagnose issues; replace/swap out equipment.
• Assist in migration of users to G Suite (Gmail).
• Set up email groups.
• Identify, research, and price new equipment.
• Catalog and inventory all IT equipment & software licenses.
• Manage RingCentral VOIP accounts, users, and equipment.
• Setup and support of ShipStation.
• Setup and support of various online e-commerce platforms.
• Setup Skype accounts.
• Purchase/Renew domain names.
• Assist moving websites to new server.
• Perform Back-ups
• Organize shared files
• Manage document permissions

Possible additions as needed:

• Manipulate, organize and refine data from multiple sources
• Update websites (using WordPress)
• Install and configure WordPress plugins
• Transfer data from old sites to new formats.
• Light HTML, CSS, PHP work

Some of the software you will be working with (experience in all not required, but if you have it let us know) :

Mac OS, GSuit, Microsoft Office, RingCentral, Adobe Creative Cloud, cPanel, WordPress, ShipStation, Quickbooks, Apple Server, Skype, TeamWork, Groupon Commerce Interface, Windows 7 & 10, Parallels

Knowledge that would also be useful (but not required) :

HTML, CSS, PHP, Apache, WHM, cPanel, WordPress Themes, WordPress Plugins

This is a three to six month hourly position (40 hours per week) located in our Vancouver office. Office hours are Monday through Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm.

Possibility of temp-to-hire to be determined at a later date.

Salary: $13.00 to $15.00 /hour
