IT Desktop Support

A small but growing IT company has an opening for an experienced IT desktop support technician. It is essential that all applicants be self-motivated, friendly and well organized. Responsibilities:

• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting PC & Mac hardware, peripherals, and equipment.
• Managing network e-mail functions; establishing mailboxes and user accounts.
• File permissions management.
• Troubleshooting LANs/WANs and providing problem resolution for PC/desktops and data communications hardware.
• Installing low-voltage cable systems (Cat6, coax, fiber, etc) in office environment, crawlspace and attics.
• Attaching, detaching, or exchanging LAN cabling to workstations, servers, network devices, telecommunication, and data communications equipment.
• Providing hardware and software support to users.
• Performing hardware and software maintenance and assisting in proper upkeep and utilization of systems.
• Maintaining work log.

Requirements:

• 2 years of desktop support experience
• Advanced knowledge of Windows 7, 8 and 10, Server 2008, 2012 and Mac OS
• 2 years of desktop support experience
• MCP, MCDST, A+, N+, Linux+ Certifications a plus
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Associate degree or above
• Willingness to travel
• Flexible schedule, including nights and/or weekends, as required
• Valid CA driver’s license with good driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00 to $20.00 /hour
