IT Computer Tech/AVMM Tech Level 1 (Georgia)

Job Description

Provides Tier I level maintenance for supported IT and AVMM equipment.

Provides phone and in-person support to users in the areas of E-mail, directories, standard Windows desktop applications, and all wired and wireless applications developed under the contract or predecessors.

Serves as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting CDE equipment, installed and operational AVMM equipment to include Smartboards, ceiling mounted projectors, wall-mounted TV displays, drop-down screens, Crestron/Extron equipment, VTC equipment, network applications and hardware and software PC and printer problems.

Inspects, tests, adjusts and calibrates IAW manufactory’s technical specification.

Performs and documents cable management in accordance with BICSI standards.

Designs and installs cable management in accordance with BICSI standards in all areas (i.e., IT rooms, office areas and training rooms) at all times, ensuring that all cabling is routed and secured in a manner that provides a professional appearance, does not pose a safety hazard and are protected from damage.

Inspects all cabling on a quarterly basis and addresses any problems identified to the technical Contracting Officer’s Representative. Qualifications

B.A. or B.S. degree is strongly desired

Direct experience in a related field

Specialized experience, including knowledge of PC operating systems (e.g., DOS, Windows), and networking and mail standards

Previous work experience on a help desk

Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing

Positive customer service attitude

Note that a TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Clearance is required.
