Overview

IT Application Support Specialists are technically skilled individuals with a desire to resolve user requests as well as to troubleshoot and find solutions for technical issues in TransPerfect’s in-house web based business applications.

The successful candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment, working with the IT Application Developers to recreate user errors, find a resolution and communicate with users. They are self-motivated to learn and become an expert helping users with TransPerfect’s technology applications.

Description

  • Provide both technical and non-technical user support for TransPerfect’s technology applications
  • Train users on how to use functions and features of the applications being supported
  • Reproduce user issues and work with the Application Developers to find a solution or escalate as appropriate
  • Must create a high level of user satisfaction through accurate timely follow up, strong technical skills, good customer communication and relationship building
  • May escalate issues for resolution, as deemed necessary
  • Required skills

  • Fluency in written and verbal English
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Outstanding communication (verbal and written), presentation, interpersonal skills and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work under high pressure situations and in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe software, and Internet software
  • Must be able to work independently as well as a part of a team
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies and applications.
  • Avid curiosity and desire to improve processes
  • Required experience and qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent (ideally in Computer Science)
  • Desired skills and experience

  • Experience using a ticket system
  • Experience managing and manipulating data in large systems / databases
