We are seeking a IT Application Developer for our shared-services Information Systems.* This position is in our Atlanta*, GA office.

IT Application Developer Primary Responsibilities
Work with multiple programming languages, applications, and interfaces to design, develop and support custom applications in areas of plant floor processes and the intranet. Work effectively with Business and IT teams across Atlas. This position requires travel 25-50% per year.

Specific responsibilities:

Manage and perform all phases of the deployment life cycle for new and existing custom applications and application interfaces including but not limited to:
Planning, Design, Programming, Testing, Implementation
User Support, Training, Documentation
Maintenance, Upgrades
Provide support for Symbol and Motorola scanners, and Zebra label printers at multiple sites across Atlas.
Development/support of Atlas intranet site.

IT Application Developer Experience

Minimum of five years’ application development experience
Minimum of five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

IT Application Developer Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Technical Skills: The ability to be adept in computer languages and employ good technical acumen and aptitude including but not limited to: SQL, Oracle Database, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic 6, Visual Studio 2008 and higher, PLC/HMI integration w/Rockwell, Inductive Automation / Ignition, Data Logging of Manufacturing Process Data
PeopleSoft Supply Chain application integration
PC skills with knowledge of Windows, File/Folder structures, Mapped Drives, etc.
Work well with teams across multiple Atlas plants and business units to collaborate on effective solutions on the manufacturing floor and in warehouses.
Work well as a member of a larger team and produce quality work that contributes to the goals and objectives of the team and company.
Self-starter, ambitious, and proactive.
Sense of urgency related to customer responsiveness, due dates, and deliverables.
Ability to break down larger issues into smaller pieces to solve them effectively.
Recognize the needs of customers, and provide solutions that answer those needs.
Creative ways of approaching problems and developing innovative solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail, thoroughness, clarity, and accuracy when accomplishing a task.

IT Application Developer Education, Licenses & Certifications

Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
