3M is seeking an IT Analyst for the IT Enterprise Development & Integration team located in Woodbury, MN.
Job Summary :
The 3M IT Enterprise Development & Integration team is seeking an IT Analyst to focus within the strategic B2B/EDI application portfolio. The person hired for the position of IT Analyst will serve as an EDI Business Analyst on the project supporting B2B/EDI integrations with 3M business partners.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Serve as a liaison between the business community and the technical community working with IT technical analysts and business clients to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design (using appropriate tools and models) from which applications and solutions are developed
Partner with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirements
Produce high-level and detailed business models, business cases
Analyze, document, and test, program development, logic, process flows, and specifications
Work with a technical analyst and a development team to ensure they understand the specifications
Partner with internal stakeholders to plan, test, and implement all software changes to ensure that solutions conform to the desired quality standard
Follow testing standards, procedures, and guidelines, to ensure consistent testing procedures
Develop and document step-by-step test cases based on the software requirements elicited by business analysts and software developers
Follow prioritized test scenarios and execute according to plan
Execute automated and manual test scripts
Partner with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing
Identify, log, and drive successful closure of defects
Provide updates to leadership on progress and issues
Partner with distributed teams, outside vendors or offshore testing partners
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with Business Analysis
Any one of the following combinations of experience and education from an accredited learning institution:
Bachelor’s degree or higher AND a minimum 2 years of IT experience
Vocational/Trade/Technical diploma or Associates degree AND a minimum 3 years of IT experience
High School Diploma/GED AND a minimum 5 years of IT experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
Minimum two (2) years of experience in business analysis including eliciting and documenting business requirements into technical requirements
Working knowledge of ANSI X12 and EDIFACT standards
Exposure to other data integration formats including Tradacoms, Odette, XML, and flat file
Understanding of source to target mapping requirement documentation
Experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
Detail oriented, ability to be self-directed, and possess strong problem solving skills
Strong communication (oral/ written) and presentation skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
Location: Woodbury, MN
Travel: May include up to 10% international
