Your Responsibilities

As an IT Analyst for John Deere Parts Distribution Center (PDC) in Milan, IL you will become a member of the Distribution Management team within the Parts Systems. In addition, you will:

• Be responsible for the software that runs the Parts Division’s Warehouse Operations applications world-wide
• Perform development in the Mainframe environment to handle enhancements and Tier 3 level production support of the Warehousing applications that are supported
• Assist as a backup with administration of the HP Non-Stop (Tandem) environment including user and printer administration, software installation and monitoring, hardware monitoring, troubleshooting of hardware/software issues (note: software exists on the HP Non-Stop in COBOL)

What Skills You Need

• 6 or more years of experience in structured application development working with medium to complex size and complexity systems
• 6 or more years of IMS experience in both online and batch applications
• High level of self-motivation
• Strong desire to learn new skills, ability to adapt to change, and ability to work under pressure across multiple hardware platforms
• Strong ability to work effectively within a team structure, sharing ideas, knowledge, and supporting the other members of the team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

What Makes You Stand Out

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

• An in-depth knowledge of the Parts Warehousing processes and applications
• 1 or more years of experience in SAS development
• 6 or more years of experience in DB2
• 2 or more years in HP Non-Stop Administrative experience
• Server Administration experience
• 1 or more years of experience with Agile

Education (or equivalent work experience)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
