Investment Banking Analyst

Job Description:

Cherry Tree provides an excellent opportunity to gain an expansive breadth of hands-on experience across all aspects of various buy-side, sell-side, and capital raising transactions. The prospective candidate will work with senior bankers in analyzing transactions, preparing presentation materials to communicate our ideas and findings to clients, and supporting due diligence efforts related to client engagements. Specific duties will include financial modeling, valuation analysis, business writing, and market research.

The ideal candidate must be mature, hard-working, and resourceful, with a strong interest in investment banking (as demonstrated by background or experience in finance, banking or economics through coursework, extracurricular activities, etc.). The candidate must have exceptional communication (especially written) and quantitative skills. Prior exposure to accounting is preferred. The successful candidate must also be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with the intent to pursue a career in investment banking.

Qualifications :

• Strong academic background from a respected four-year university
• Highly motivated individual with an exceptional work ethic
• Extremely well organized with a keen attention to detail
• Strong quantitative and financial modeling, research techniques and valuation methodologies
• Excellent communicator, in writing and speaking
• Advanced skills with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Preference for at least one year of experience in M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Strategic Consulting (e.g. McKinsey, Capgemini) or Public Accounting
