Investment and Trust Officer

South Florida Educational Federal Credit Union (SFEFCU) & Members Trust Company an OCC special purpose trust bank are looking for an Investment & Trust Officer to provide our members with life cycle financial planning and wealth management services. This position will also make appropriate referrals for savings and loan services offered by SFEFCU. Services include: Investment Management, Trusteed IRA, Trust Services, and Financial Planning. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage investment activities for personal trusts, individual investments, and retirement planning.
  • Trust administration of existing and new accounts.
  • Assisting members with all aspects of their estate planning needs.
  • Conduct meetings with credit union members to discuss current economic conditions, strategic/tactical investment allocations, portfolio, and investment performance.
  • Present investment philosophy, investment strategy, and potential solutions to members and potential members in order to develop new business.
  • Assist members to develop a comprehensive portfolio management process which coordinates the investment of assets to achieve optimum asset allocation and diversification.
  • Create and develop personalized presentations for member review meetings.
  • Manage accounts that often require complex decision making or special maintenance.
  • Review and analyzes investments to select assets and manage individual portfolios based on member needs.
  • Maintain account specific compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Cross-sell credit union products and services.
  • Develop and lead presentations to groups of potential investors.
  • Assist with other credit union projects as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a major in business, finance, or other related specialization. Advanced degree preferred, but not required.
  • CFA, CFP, or CTFA certification preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in a similar role with financial planning, advisory, and business development experience.
  • Background in wealth management, portfolio management, trust services, and retirement planning.
  • Decision making, communication, and negotiating skills are required to assist members through investment process.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies to promote services to credit union membership.
  • Ability to identify and build relationships with members to determine investment needs.
  • Position may require working from a satellite branch ten to twenty percent of work time.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
