The Investment Analyst will assist in the origination, analysis, pursuit, and execution of institutional-level commercial real estate investment transactions throughout the western US. As a key player in helping to execute a high-level, two-phased marketing strategy, the candidate will possess very strong analytical and communication (writing) skills, strong web-based/electronic skills, ability to be productive in a project-team environment, and ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities. Personally, the candidate will demonstrate a high level of integrity and energy, comfort and poise in client situations, and a “self-starter”, high quality work ethic. Orange County is preferred location; Los Angeles is second choice.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate core competencies in the following areas:

• Produce Argus and Excel-based financial analysis and investment summaries of commercial real estate properties
• With the support of others, produce graphical marketing exhibits, analyses, and offering memoranda
• Accompany the M.D. on some client marketing trips, travel to tour properties both locally and though the Western US, and will work collaboratively with other Colliers Investment Sales team members
• Data entry / management – must be ok with data entry needs, such as Salesforce management and investment sales comps management

Skills, Education and Experience:

• B.A. Degree
• 1-3 years of experience or coursework in commercial real estate investments or finance;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Argus;
• Strong analytical skills
• Familiarity with western US office and industrial real estate markets a plus
