Investment Analyst

Summary:

Domain Timber Advisors is looking for an Investment Analyst to join our Atlanta office in the environmental assets group. Our Investment professionals are responsible for supporting the day-to-day investment and asset management activities for Domain’s varied strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Quantitative and qualitative underwriting of new investments;
• Supporting the Investment Management team with servicing and monitoring existing investments to ensure compliance with covenants and deliverables from our investment partners per operating agreements;
• Drafting quarterly and annual investment management reports;
• Analyzing investment-level financials and operations;
• Presenting information to the Investment Management team and senior leadership;
• Staying current on investment performance and industry news and trends; and
• Building and maintaining financial models.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

For new investments, the Analyst will learn how to assist with due diligence, financial modeling, industry research, and drafting investment committee reports. In addition, the Analyst will support the firm’s business development efforts on an as needed basis.

The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Relevant coursework in accounting, financial statement analysis, economics, or a related discipline is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with an understanding of capital markets, corporate and structured finance and investment analysis concepts through undergraduate internships. The candidate should be detail-oriented and results-focused, with demonstrated quantitative, analytical and modeling skills. A high degree of competency in both Excel modeling and business writing is required. We encourage an entrepreneurial spirit and expect ownership in completing projects in timely fashion. The best candidate will thrive in Domain’s collaborative and driven team-oriented environment. Written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite are preferred. Experience utilizing ArcGIS software will also be viewed as beneficial. Occasional late, weekend, or non-regular work hours may be required. Some travel may also be necessary, but will likely be less than 20% on average.
