Investment Analyst

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:
1. Proactively support aggressive growth in the North American renewables business (wind, solar, energy storage and energy services)

2. Support preparation of investment decision papers and presentations for EC&R / E.ON SE Board consideration

3. Develop quantitative and qualitative analyses of prospective investment opportunities and effectively communicate results

4. Collaborate with various functions of the wind and solar businesses to capture key project details and identify inherent project risks and opportunities

5. Analyze offtake opportunities, including PPAs, swaps, puts and other derivative products

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
6. Identify and implement process / valuation model improvements

7. Lead / support internal ad hoc projects with direct senior management involvement

8. Support other parts of the Investment team as required, including quality control reviews

Qualifications

  • 2-3 or more years financial modeling (DCF) experience and proficiency in Excel (required)
  • Renewable energy / investment banking experience (strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other related discipline preferred
