Investment Analyst

Overview of Job Description
The Investment team is looking to immediately hire an Investment Analyst in Atlanta.

Duties and Responsibilities
In order to perform daily duties and responsibilities, the Investment Analyst must:

  • Underwrite acquisition and development deals for all property types using Excel and ARGUS software.
  • Prepare investment materials and RFPs for existing and potential investments.
  • Conduct market research on existing and future opportunities.
  • Review tenant leases, rent rolls, operating statements, tenant recovery statements and other financial statements used in the underwriting process.
  • Work with Asset Management to update investment projections.
  • Assist in acquisition & disposition due diligence and loan closing processes.
  • Assist in quarterly investor updates and presentations.
  • Other ad hoc analyses as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • BA/BS in Real Estate, Finance, or Economics from four-year college or university required.
  • Strong grasp of financial terms and principles necessary in real estate underwriting (IRR, NPV, Return on Cost, etc.).
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret various types of real estate documents, including leases, contracts and financial statements.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Excel, ARGUS, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Close attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in order to meet deadlines.
  • Team player, strong work ethic and passion to learn about the commercial real estate industry.
  • Must demonstrate professionalism with the ability to react objectively.
