Investigative Support Analyst (ISA I-B)

Overview and Functional Purpose

The Investigative Support Analyst provides task-specific investigative support to designated criminal and civil investigations in the Inspection Service field division offices.

Functional Scope

The Investigative Support Analyst supports Inspection Service criminal programs, including, but not limited to, prohibited mailings, narcotics, mail fraud, money laundering, and organized crime. This position will provide support to the Inspection Service’s Export Compliance and Fraud programs at the Miami International Service Center.

Part Time Position

This is a Part Time position. The number of hours available each month will vary based upon workload, not to exceed 129 hours in a month. The position is scheduled to cover Tour 3 (3 pm to 8 pm) week days, and Saturday days.

Compensation

The compensation being offered will be an hourly rate of $32.34 which is an equivalent of $50,062 if you were to work the maximum 129 hours each month. You would also be eligible for paid sick leave and access to a 401(k) plan.

Skills and Ability Requirements

• Knowledge of Export Compliance operations and procedures;
• Knowledge of USPS mail processing operations;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing sufficient to express thoughts and ideas to a variety of people;
• General experience assisting in development of civil and/or criminal cases;
• General experience performing the appropriate analytical techniques or methods;
• General experience working with a moderate level of direct supervision;
• General experience supporting the preparation of a final work product;
• General knowledge of federal statutes.

Required Education and Work Experience

A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university AND a minimum of five years’ work experience demonstrating the ability to review information, conduct analysis, conduct research, and communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Required Security Clearance

A Sensitive Clearance is required.
