Investigation – Investigation Specialist I

Amazon Payments is seeking a dedicated, hardworking, analytical candidate with a proven track record of performance and results-oriented thinking, to join the Investigation team in Seattle.
The Compliance investigator position relies on judgement to plan and accomplish goals and will work closely with global process owners to authenticate customers on the Amazon Payments platform. Nearly all decisions are expected to be made independently with little to no guidance. The Compliance investigator will be required to engage in frequent written and verbal communication with the global investigations team and their leadership in an effort to accomplish mutual goals. They will also be required to contact customers by email.
Ideal applicants will have experience in the eCommerce payments space, risk and fraud investigations, previous trust and safety experience, and experience succeeding in a customer-driven workplace. All candidates will be analytical and capable of succeeding in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision.
This candidate will work to:
Identify regulatory denied parties screening, OFAC/Sanctions compliance issues/concerns and make suggestions and/or take corrective actions to implement solutions to improve controls/operations;
Review and analyze denied parties and OFAC/Sanctions inquiries and potential hits while maintaining compliance requirements across the Amazon Payments product
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Customer related work experience
In-depth experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Driven to meet production standards

  • Willingness to work on weekends, and outside of the “standard” work day
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
