Inventory Accountant

Are you ready to be a part of something BIG? This highly successful start up company located in Buckhead is looking to hire for a new position, Inventory Accountant.

The ideal candidate will have STRONG Excel experience and be responsible for:

Creating and maintaining inventory system, reports, tracking and controls for all raw materials and finished goods for multiple locations.

Responsible for centralization of inventory and costing management to Inventory valuation and analysis

Establish and update cost standards

Cost analysis

Define key inventory targets and drive process to meet targets

Manage all purchasing, including:
o Placing and adjusting purchase orders

o Tracking and managing inventory

o Planning future purchasing

o Negotiate pricing

o Monitoring product costs and quality

Lead supplier negotiations to improve vendor performance, lower total costs and mitigate risks

Manage day-to-day vendor relations

Identify negotiation opportunities through analyzing spend data

General ledger accounting and account reconciliation

Required Qualifications

Four-year undergraduate bachelor’s degree concentrating in finance or accounting

Must have prior inventory accounting experience

Experience in the Food industry a plus

Demonstrated critical thinking and organizational skills with high attention to detail

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and act with a sense of urgency

Ability to identify and communicate information required to make business decisions across many functions
