Responsibilities:

• Attend weekly brainstorming meetings and contribute to team goals
• Complete thorough research of content existing across the web
• Fact-check content
• Contact and perform interviews
• Help generate ideas for content
• Assist writers as necessary
• Schedule and conduct interviews when needed with experts, scholars and other influencers.
• Manages multiple assignments at any one time

Qualifications:

• Must be a registered student in good standing at an accredited college or university
• Rising junior or senior in the African-American Studies or Journalism/English program
• Must be able to work the hours required by the department (Depending on assignment, hours may include early mornings and afternoons)
• A positive, curious, disposition
• A competitive drive — you enjoy winning, really going for it
