Internal Auditor

The Internal Auditor is an entry level position within the Internal Audit Department. The primary responsibility of the position is to contribute to the completion of internal audits of the credit union and monitor the results of member center self-audits.

Perform on-site and off-site internal audits of assigned areas to report adequacy of internal controls and compliance with management practices. (60%)

Draft summary audit reports. (20%)

Monitor results of monthly member center self-audits and assist member center personnel with practice and procedural questions or research. (10%)

Conduct follow-up interviews or reviews to verify that corrective action has been taken. (5%)

Perform assigned investigations of internal activity involving employees or incidents. (5%)

Required Skills

Specialized or Technical Knowledge and Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in either accounting or finance;

Prior experience in internal auditing in a financial institution is preferred, however is not required;

Proficient in Microsoft Office products;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
