Are you looking for a unique summer internship opportunity? Does an internship that combines both real-world industrial experience and a variety of recreational activities interest you? Enjoy the challenging, fast-paced environment at Micron Technology through an internship focused on driving procurement performance data quality and performance. Micron’s procurement teams span the globe and as an intern you will interface with, and learn the cultures of, those global operations.

As a Procurement Data Engineer at Micron Technology Inc., you will be a key member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and growing Micron’s methods and systems for extracting data and enabling new data to provide new insight for our expanding data streams. You will be collaborating with Data Scientists, Procurement Professionals, Manufacturing and Engineering as well as with Data Mining teams to design and implement systems to extract data from Micron’s business systems, transforming it into an actionable format, and as needed, creating dynamic presentation layers for use by high-level engineers and managers throughout the company. You will be a key member of the Technology Development Process Materials group that is responsible for ensuring that Micron’s technology development is supported with the best cost and best material performance possible.

Micron’s headquarters is located in Boise, Idaho. Boise is a city that is a well-kept secret from much of the U.S. Nestled in a valley, Boise’s climate is mild so its residents have the ability to “play” in the elements throughout the year. The Boise River provides areas for walking, biking, running and golfing. Nearby areas can be filled with mountain bikers and hikers, while water-skiing is also an option. Within two hours, you may want to explore the world-class rapids that bring worldwide visitors to our region to fish, kayak, camp, or raft.

Whatever your preference, an internship at Micron will provide an experience of a lifetime, both professionally and personally.
