As an Information Technology Specialist you will be expected to take on challenging project work designing, building, testing and supporting technical solutions. The Information Technology Specialist will be able to gather user requirements (URs), translate URs into technical requirements, design and develop complex front-end and back-end web based software applications while demonstrating working knowledge and experience with Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns. Ideal candidates for this position must have experience developing Windows forms and web-based applications, including Structured Query Language (SQL) Server and have practical knowledge of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Dynamic HTML, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), .Net, .Net framework, and other web standards. Candidates must also be experienced in software testing (Unit, System, Integration, Functional, Performance) and be able to provide ongoing application support and troubleshooting. The IBM Client Innovation Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our Baton Rouge, LA location. However, some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site (Monday through Friday). You are expected to travel approximately 30% of the time. No remote opportunities exist. At least 3 years experience in .Net technology: Active Server Pages .NET (ASP.net), Visual Basic.NET (VB.net), C Sharp.NET (C#.net)

At least 2 years experience in hands-on programming in HTML

At least 2 years experience in front-end and back-end application development

At least 1 year experience in gathering user requirements

At least 2 years experience in working knowledge of object-oriented programming and Cascading Style Sheet (CSS)

Readiness to travel Up to 2 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)

English: Intermediate

At least 5 years experience in hands-on programming in Java and HTML
