Integration Consultant

Your Role:
Tenable is looking for an Integration Consultant to join our Professional Services team working with our customers to help them push or pull information from Tenable’s products with other 3rd party products within their environment. Examples of such products include but are not limited to ServiceNow, Remedy, Splunk, CyberArk, and Jira. This is a very rewarding position as it will help our customers get the most business value of multiple technology investments that they have made. Our Professional Services team deploys and customizes our product for our customers to help enable their success. We are a group of fun and very talented people who love to learn how new things work and determine the best way to put them into practice. We work with customers to solve their problems to make their jobs easier. This involves completing multiple projects with exposure to a large variety of different technologies, and our team works together to help each-other achieve these goals.

Your Opportunity:
Writing code in Python to extend the capabilities of Tenable’s products with other 3rd party products such as ITSM/ticketing, CMDB, patch management, network access control, and identity access management

Working both onsite and remotely with clients to implement solutions and resolve issues

Working with the customers requests to learn new technologies and build new

capabilities for our product

Use and create knowledge base articles based on field incidents, and/or common or critical issues

Be self-motivated and able to work independently on multiple engagements/projects

Demonstrate the ability to maintain a positive and cooperative attitude in sometimes stressful situations

Offer strong research skills to best solve a technical problem within a given timeframe

Look for new and innovative ways to resolve problems

Act as a strong team player willing to assist others when needed

What you’ll need:
A Bachelors degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent work experience

Strong programming background and solid analytical skill set

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong communication skills to understand customer’s business needs

Ability to learn quickly and resolve issues in a timely manner

4+ years of Python and/or PHP experience

Knowledge and skills desired in the following:
Databases: Oracle, MS SQL Server, Postgresql, noSQL databases like Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Hadoop

Languages : Python, Perl, Javascript, Groovy, Golang, Java, SQL, Powershell, Bash

Tools : PyCharm, Eclipse, Jenkins, Git, Subversion, Docker, JIRA, ServiceNow, Remedy

Frameworks / Concepts : Spring, REST, containers, SOAP, XML, Flask, Django, Unit Tests, Integration Tests

Relevant Operating Systems: Ubuntu / Debian, CentOS / RHEL, Windows Server

Relevant Infrastructure: LDAP / Active Directory, Proxies, Web Servers, Cron, Scheduled Tasks

And ideally:
A background in Vulnerability Management is a huge plus. Having this experience helps the consultant understand the client’s objectives better, the challenges they face, and provide solutions that meet their VM goals and make their lives easier. Automation can help but poorly implemented automation can add more work to their lives.

An understanding of basic networking, firewalls, etc.
