LGC’s Clinical Diagnostics Division develops and manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of catalog and custom-developed diagnostic quality solutions and component materials for the extended life sciences industry. We partner with IVD assay developers, and pharmaceutical, CRO and academic institutions in commercialization activities across the entire diagnostic pipeline – from concept and early stage research, through expedited product development and onwards into routine clinical use. Laboratorians and diagnostic professionals across disciplines of clinical chemistry, immunochemistry, serology, molecular diagnostics and clinical genomics rely on LGC’s products to support accurate and reliable diagnostic results.
Our operating entities include SeraCare Life Sciences and Maine Standards Company, which are in vitro diagnostics (IVD) manufacturers of quality measurement tools (calibrators, controls, linearity, EQA/PT, biological materials) and the Native Antigen Company, which is a manufacturer and supplier of viral antigens. Job Purpose
Inside Sales and Operations Associate, Clinical Genomics will work as an integral part of a cross functional team that will include Marketing, Business Operations, Customer Service and Sales. This position will help drive monthly, quarterly and annual sales results by supporting and expanding the customer base for Clinical Genomics in US and EU regions. Participating as an integral part of our automated marketing and sales processes, this position will reach out to customers, provide pricing quotes and respond to customer inquiries with the ultimate goal to increase customer orders and grow revenues for the Clinical Genomics business
Key Responsibilities

  • Meet sales targets and customer adoption objectives through phone and email communications with opportunities
  • Qualify leads and develop account profiles and conduct follow up
  • Communicate with external sales and applications teams on activities as required and maintain updates using Salesforce.com
  • Provide pricing, quotes and handle customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Working with digital marketing communications, responsible for managing and triaging leads from all sources, including tradeshows, website and marketing automation activities
  • Maintain up-to-date product and pricing lists and disseminate to relevant stakeholders

  • Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant sales experience
  • Proven experience in managing business processes that support selling efforts including managing inquiries, lead follow up, opportunity profiling and providing pricing quotes
  • Demonstrated success in growing sales
  • Strong experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce.com
