Information Technology Specialist

Black Hills Federal Credit Union is seeking a qualified candidate for a Full-Time I.T. Specialist position in Rapid City. Hours for this position are primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays or evenings.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Receives and prioritizes requests for assistance from users to resolve problems with hardware or software applications;
• Diagnoses and determines urgency and severity of problem and takes independent action to resolve problem;
• Escalates complex problems to appropriate technical staff or vendor support;
• Ensures all problems are tracked, measured, resolved, and verified in a timely manner;
• Cooperates in a team environment to promote member service and provide technical solutions;
• Works with different departments to assist in providing technical solutions as needed;
• Assist with enterprise software application troubleshooting and upgrades;
• Perform daily, monthly, and year-end procedures and other required program runs;
• Configure, install, troubleshoot, and maintain PCs, network printers, multi-function devices, and other computer peripheral equipment;
• Verification and maintenance of backup jobs.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of technology help desk experience preferred;
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of personal computer software, MS Windows operating systems;
• Working knowledge of MS Office software products.
