Information Technology EDI Analyst

Expected Results:

• Ensure the overall quality of the system architecture, application design, development, testing, and deployment for B2B solutions.
• Build interfaces for applications and trading partners.
• Field incoming problem tickets from internal users and customers to resolve application and software issues within servers, databases, and other mission-critical systems.
• Record, track, and document root cause and corrective actions to resolve problems, using prescribed continuous improvement methods.
• Provide technical vision when designing and developing new and innovative solutions.

Supporting Activities:

• Enhance existing systems as well as developing new ones.
• Responsible for investigating, analyzing, estimating, designing, coding, unit testing, implementing, documenting, training, & supporting quality systems on-time and to budget.
• Participate in project development meetings and provide input on possible solutions, pitfalls and issues regarding initiative.
• Participate in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
• Perform preventative maintenance, including the installation of service packs, patches, hot fixes, anti-virus software, and so on.
• Monitor and collect data on system performance.
• Plan, develop and implement backup and recovery procedures.
• Practice daily continuous improvement in all aspects of work, emphasizing problem solving and sharing with others.

Required Prior Accomplishments – Experience – Skills:

• College diploma or university degree and/or 5-7 years equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Java, HTML, XSLT and XPATH required.
• IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, mapper and BPML tool and Axway Activator experience preferred.
• Experience in Communications – FTP, SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, and AS2
• Proficiency in EDI ANSI X12 standards
• ERP experience – JD Edwards preferred
• Basic understanding of Windows Server environment and tools required. Experience with IBM i (iSeries) operating system a plus.
• Strong Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience
• Strong SQL Knowledge and Relational Database design experience
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
• Very strong customer service orientation.
• Strong written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
